My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Helga is a love bug. She loves people and really enjoys having house guests. She cried when the handyman left for the day! She enjoys meeting strangers who want to give her a little love when out on walks. We recently went to petco and Helga made fast friends with the couple and their four year old child in line behind us. Helga is gentle with strangers but as mentioned, does enjoy her own personal space. Helga is a sleepy girl, mainly spending her days bed hopping. Helga loves being a guard dog. She patrols the backyard looking for hooligans to bark at. But call her name once and she comes running back inside! Helga doesn’t quite understand bikes and scooters yet but is making progress on not trying to chase them away. She is also making progress on walking nicely on the leash. She is learning what leash pressure is and doing better on every walk. When helga isn’t sleeping, she is following you around like a shadow. Helga does like to play. She will chase her toy a few times before retreating to lay down with it. Helga would like a proper dog introduction as she can get very excited to see another fury friend. Helga is the perfect house dog. She is regularly left alone and has not destroyed anything, and has never had an accident. She practically refuses to drink out of a water bowl after refining her pallet to the toilet.

Helga is seeing a vet because she does turn very pink at times, and occasionally has hives. But she is doing much better and has had fewer episodes with a limited ingredient diet.
