RUSTY

Red Forest Rabbit aka "RUSTY" is a male GSD Mix, Rusty is 62 lbs, vaccinated, has completed heartworm treatment, neutered and microchipped

Rusty was found dumped in the woods with his friend Rascal (also available for adoption). Despite his tough beginning, Rusty has continued to amaze his foster with his loving but shy personality. Rusty gets along with dogs of all sizes, is active and playful, but still reserved. He does not like loud noises or quick movements and is not a fan of leash walking- he prefers to run around in the backyard. Rusty is housebroken and crate trained. We do not put a bed or blanket in his crate as he tends to rip them up, but outside of the crate he likes to lay on the couch and chill with a toy. His favorite time of day is breakfast and dinner.

Rusty would love to be adopted by a calm and caring family with another dog friend to play with.

We require an application. References are checked and a home visit is performed. Placement Director contacts the applicant and discusses the dogs in our program. There will be two meetings between the potential adoptive family and the dog before final transfer. We require a $400.00 adoption fee for Adult Dogs and a $450.00 adoption fee for puppies. This fee covers vaccines, labwork, microchip, and spay/neuter.

Sauver Des Chiens German Shepherd Dog Rescue is an all-volunteer, foster-based 501(c)3 organization based in Texas. At this time we service Texas and Louisiana. Our passion and our mission is to rescue neglected, unwanted, and abused German Shepherd and Large Paw Dogs with the goal of finding them a new permanent and loving home. All dogs receive full veterinary care, including spay/neuter, positive training and necessary behavior modification before they are ready to adopt. These dogs come from stressful circumstances and are give a few weeks to de-compress before being offered for adoption.
