My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fancy a Dark n’ Stormy?

This grey gal is equal parts smooth and sweet with just the right amount of spice. Ever since her offspring got adopted, Stormy has been thriving as an empty nester. She says hello by giving lots of rubs and flopping over for belly scritches. Her playful side is blossoming and she loves to let out her inner kitten by chasing her favorite wand toy in circles. She’s an independent lady who’s happy to curl up next to you on the couch or give you some space while she’s off taking a snooze. Stormy would make a fantastic work-from-home buddy! While she’s not too fond of competing with other pets for attention, we know Stormy will provide all the love you could want. She can get a bit overstimulated in certain situations, so would probably do best in a home without young children or a lot of hustle and bustle.

Take a shot on this intoxicating lady!

If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful cats or kittens, you can apply on our website: https://www.commcat.org/copy-of-adopt-a-bff

Please allow several days for us to process your application. We are a small, all-volunteer group and we are doing our best to work quickly! After the application is processed we will make arrangements for you to meet the cats that interest you. All of our cats and kittens are raised in our homes and live with us until they are adopted. They live with us as part of our families so we know them very well and we can help you find your perfect cat! Cats are rarely caged (only if its medically necessary) so you can visit with them and see how they act in a home.

Our adoption fees:

Kittens (under 6 months): $125 (or 2 for $175)

Adults (6 months to 7 years): $50 (or 2 for $75)

Seniors (8 years and up): $30 (or 2 for $45)

All cats are spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies (if age appropriate) and distemper, and microchipped.

Go meet their pets

We are completely foster home based and do not cage our cats unless medically necessary. Because we are foster home based, we require an approved application on file and will then make arrangements for you to meet that special cat or kitten!

More about this rescue

We are a cat advocacy group dedicated to ending feline overpopulation in our area. Our purpose is to help owned and unowned cats in our area by facilitating high quality, high volume, low cost spay/neuter services; helping caregivers to find resources to keep and humanely care for their cats; and providing care to cats in need, especially those who may not find help elsewhere.
