My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Reina came from Tennessee and was living in a home with six kids. She is heartworm positive. Heartworm treatment will continue to be covered by Guardians after her adoption until she is heartworm-free. The adoptive family will be required to take her to our vet for her injections. She is currently receiving treatment in Westville. We are requiring that Reina's new home have a minimum 4 ft physical fence and active, large breed dog experience. Reina isn't as dramatic as other Huskies, but don't worry, she has plenty of personality to go around. She's fairly quiet and is only vocal when I don't bring her inside fast enough. Though she isn't vocal, she still makes it clear when she wants pets. Immediately. She's a bit of a princess. She absolutely loves having her chest petted and will hook her paw over your arm to pull your hand to her chest for more pets. She's very smart and picking up on things very quickly. She has done amazing with adjusting to everything that has been thrown at her in the last week. She is not crate trained, but we have had a lot of success in being more comfortable with the crate over the last week. Reina is dog friendly and gets along with all of the dogs in her foster mom's family. She absolutely LOVES kids of all ages and did absolutely amazing with all of the kids asking to pet her at the Mill Pond Fest. I've been told that she's cat friendly, but I haven't tested that yet. Reina is a typical husky and likes to push boundaries to see what she can get away with. She will require somebody who understands husky behavior. she's really adapted to a companion dog environment and does amazingly well at home as well as at daycare. She now gets a bit stressed if left by her own without a companion. She would do best in a home with another dog.
