Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We're so confused as to why this sweet girl is still here!? 🤷♀️
Notes from her foster mom:
Lorelei, is a 1-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog. She was originally found as a stray covered in fleas and scabs. She is a bit of a nervous girl that needs a patient family to help her gain that confidence! She is a 70 pound attention hog, who is very snuggly and wants to be on your lap or, getting pets from someone at all times. She does good with other dogs small and large, can be nervous at first but tolerant. She would prefer a more mellow dog that won’t jump all over her. I have not seen her around cats but with slow introductions I don’t think a cat would be an issue, she’s more low key and people focused. Lorelei can be a bit flighty outside and needs some work on house training. She can hop a fence with ease and does try to escape when she’s in the yard, especially if you leave her unattended. She has recently started to go potty and play outside now that she’s feeling more comfortable! I would consider her crate trained, she whines for a minute or two but settles easily and hasn’t had an accident in her crate. Once she decompresses she will be such an amazing dog, just needs someone to give her the time to flourish!! She will need a physically fenced in yard - 6 foot or higher due to her ability to easily jump over a fence and, she will need leash walked in the yard until she has settled in and absolutely monitored in the yard due to her being a flight risk. No off leash while outside of the yard.
She has been spayed, vaccinated with DHPP, rabies, bordatella, microchipped, is heartworm negative, wormed and is receiving flea/tick and heartworm preventions.
We do meet and greets with approved adoption application, vet reference check and home visit. Her adoption fee is $400. If you believe you meet the above qualifications you are welcome to apply with us at:
