My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for a loyal and loving furry companion who will steal your heart? Meet Melody, a sweet rescue dog who is ready to find her forever home.

Melody came to the rescue with her puppies from a dog shelter, and while she may be a bit shy at first, she loves human interaction and is always eager to make new friends. She's great with other dogs and loves to play, making her the perfect addition to any household. While she hasn't been exposed to cats, with proper introductions, Melody may do well with them too.

At around 4-5 years old, Melody is in the prime of her life and has plenty of energy to go for long walks or runs. She's a great companion for outdoor activities, but is also content to cuddle up on the couch with her human family. And while she may be shy at first, with love and patience, she'll soon become your most loyal and devoted friend.

So why wait? If you're ready to give a rescue dog a loving home, consider adopting Melody today. She's waiting for a family to call her own, and with her kind and gentle nature, she'll make the perfect addition to any household. Come meet Melody and see for yourself what a wonderful companion she can be.

Additional adoption info

Our dogs are special to us, so we do check references and may require home checks for adopters. Most of our dogs come from kill shelters, dumped or abused. Some maybe needy or in need of training.

Our adoption fees vary depending on the medical needs of the dog and cover all shots up to date according to the age of the dog, all required testing for diseases, spay or neutering of dogs (age appropriate), micro-chipped and transport fees (if we transport the dog).

We required a submitted application along with 3 non-related references. Please be patient, we are an all volunteer organization, we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Go meet their pets

We have events in Central Arkansas area and New England area. We operate through dedicated fosters. If you are not in Central Arkansas we can send you video or even do face time to allow you to see how the dog interacts with other dogs and fosters. We also can do live video with Periscope application for smart phones.

If the dog is not in your area we can transport to a local foster in your area. Transport usually takes 3-5 days depending on your location and method of transport.

More about this rescue

We're an all volunteer group of concerned citizens committed to animals in need of rescue. We are passionate about spaying/neutering to end unnecessary euthanasia due to pet over-population. We rescue from local high kill shelters and abandoned dogs. To adopt go to http://www.kcpetrescue.org/adoption-application.html
