My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dapper gentleman is Indy! He is a senior mixed breed - maybe 11-12 years young - and he weighs in at about 44 pounds. You'd never guess his age by the pep in his step and his zest for life.  Indy has been patiently waiting for the perfect home to spend his golden years - a quiet and loving home where he can be spoiled in all the best ways!

He enjoys a nice stroll with lots of opportunity to sniff things out and he walks well with his Harness Lead.  Indy LOVES to play with toys and enjoys pulling them out of the toy box to collect them on his dog bed.  He does need to be supervised with toys to ensure he doesn't swallow any pieces fabric or stuffing.  Indy does a great job playing independently.  If he needs to be distracted from his toy, it's easy to do so with food and his Snuffle Mat.  He is food motivated and can be quite persistent when he knows you have food.  We feed Indy with a puzzle, maze bowl, or his favorite - the Snuffle Mat.

Indy is happy and sweet as pie...he loves to be close to his people and happily gives kisses in exchange for being petted.  He needs a home with no other pets and no children under the age of  12 years.   If you're looking for sweet and affectionate, Indy is your guy - apply today to adopt him!

Thanks to a sponsorship, Indy's adoption fee has been paid for an approved adopter.  There is a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents.  He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.

To be considered for adoption, you must first submit the application found at:
