My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We rescued Scooter from a local shelter when his time was almost up. He has proven to be a GREAT dog in every way. Scooter is around 2 years old, possibly a corgi mix or doxie mix. He weighs in at around 17 lbs. Scooter is housebroken and crate trained. He gets along tremendously with other dogs large and small, but can sometimes play too rough for the little ones. Scoots foster mom has noted that he wants to be around humans but has a bit of skittishness. He will come up for pets but then takes off before he can be loved on. If he is in his crate, he will allow pets and sometimes roll over for belly rubs. So, with this being said, Scooter will need someone who has patience with his skittishness. Our foster mom believes that at some point in his short life he has probably been beat by someone. For the most part Scooter is a quiet boy, who rarely participates in the other dogs “bark fests” or “sing alongs”. When he gets excited and playful, he bounces like a bunny, it’s the cutest thing  We do not know how he is with children, but he did see a girl around the age of 10 or so at the vet clinic his tail was nonstop. Since he does have a tendency to play a bit rough sometimes with other dogs, we would recommend older children, in case he did get rambunctious with them.
