My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We’re not sure if Biscuit was found stray or surrendered to a high kill shelter but we are so thrilled that we pulled him off death row because he is FABULOUS! Biscuit is adorable, funny, loving, alert, full of life, adventurous, smart, and a total food hound who will bark to speed up the dinner service (if that doesn’t work, he’ll dance and twirl to get your attention!). He is an absolute treasure, a fabulous, youthful 10 yrs and weighs about 16 lbs. Biscuit is friendly and bonds quickly with new people, he does well with friendly dogs and with cats that don’t get in his face. He really enjoys walks and exploring new smells and is a dream passenger in the car. He loves to cuddle up to his people on the couch or in bed, but is happy to snuggle into his own bed as well. Biscuit is completely blind (from PRA*) so has some easy special requirements of a forever home so that he can be kept safe but he was very confident when learning to navigate his foster house (including the outdoor concrete stairs) and is comfortable walking on all types of flooring. He is house trained but would do best in a house because he needs to have easy access to his outdoor spot or to be taken out on a regular schedule to avoid accidents indoors. He is fine wearing male wraps (belly bands) as a means of avoiding indoor pee accidents. Biscuit would be happy as the only dog as he loves human attention and napping undisturbed but would also enjoy the companionship of another easy going dog who won’t try to dominate him. Please note that we are currently set up to adopt within the Los Angeles county area. (*PRA is Progressive Retinal Atrophy, there is no treatment or cure.)
