My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rico came to us with a broken leg (after being hit by a car) but his leg is now completely healed and he's ready to rock and roll!

We think Rico is some kind of a Terrier mix, and he is a very gentle, sweet, smart boy. Although he was found as a stray, we suspect he was someone's beloved pet at one time because he is quite well mannered. Rico has been totally vetted (neutered, immunized, dewormed, and microchipped). Rico is a young adult (probably a year or two old), he weighs 50 lbs., and he seems to be housebroken (he hasn't yet had one accident in the house!).

We want Rico to have a safely fenced yard and we would prefer that he not be left home alone 40 hours a week as a latchkey dog. So an adopter who works from home, works just part time, or is retired would be the best fit for him.

Our rescue group adopts to individuals, couples, or to families with children 12 yrs. of age or older.

Rico is presently undergoing heartworm treatment and will be ready for adoption in September. His adoption fee is $300.

If you feel you would be a good fit for Rico, please contact us at: sylvialovesme@gmail.com and tell us about yourself, your daily schedule, if you have a safely fenced yard, etc. Once we received your inquiry--if we feel Rico would be a good fit for you (and vice versa)--we will e-mail you an application. Then, once your application has been approved, we can set up a time and place for a meet-and-greet.
