Say hello to Hippo!
This adorable puppy was found at just under 4 months old wandering a college parking lot in the middle of the night. Our family member picked him up, and we couldn't say no to him, especially at that hour. He arrived covered in ringworm and spent the next 6 weeks healing from this as well as a secondary infection on his skin. He was recently neutered and recieved his vaccinations and is now healthy and ready for adoption!
Hippo is now 5 and a half months old and alllll pittie puppy! He's your true to breed pitbull, and we suspect he's going to be so big! Like, 65 lbs big! He currently already weighs over 30 lbs and he's not even 6 months old!
Hippo gets along GREAT with everyone and everything! He does well with dogs of all sizes and breeds, gets along wonderfully with cats, an has been gentle and sweet with the few kids he's met! He's really an all around perfect pup!
Hippo is still a puppy and learning every day, but he's already got some things down! He is crate trained, and knows to potty outside when told. He's about 75% of the way housebroken, he just struggles sometimes to remember to ask to go out when he needs a quick tinkle! He knows to sit and has done great on leash and riding in the car! He's going to be a fabulous adventure pup for someone looking! He is the perfect gentleman and loves all he meets. Taking him anywhere is an absolute pleasure!
Hippo is neutered, had his first round of shots, and on monthly prevention for fleas and ticks. He is also microchipped. He will need two more rounds of shots that will be financially covered by our rescue until he has had them all.
