My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Doggie– is a quiet, settled kitty that is often shy with people she first meets. All she needs is someone willing to spend a little extra time gaining her trust and bonding with her. Shy cats are often overlooked for the more social kitties that greet people at the door. This is unfortunate because with a little love and patience, a shy cat can often become a loving companion for life! Come meet Doggie. Spend a little time getting to know her and find out what a truly loving companion she could be.

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
