Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Barry, a 2.5 year old Lab mix, around 55 lbs. Barry is a very sweet boy, who is still working on trusting humans. Barry does very well with other dogs. He seems to have more confidence with humans when there is another dog present. He does like attention, but he is still learning how to trust. He does get frightened easily, but calms down if you sit next to him and tell him everything‘s ok. He is making good progress when walking on the leash but does sometimes get scared and tries to pull away. I think that in the right environment he would bond well once he can trust whoever he is with. He seems to learn from other dogs and does feel safer with a dog buddy next to him.
*All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*
