If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Gato is a beautiful Maine Coon mix. He is very relaxed once he’s used to his surroundings.
Being honest here…He does NOT want to be picked up and will not jump on couch, bed or anything anymore. Strictly stays on the floor and usually puts himself somewhere where he’s safe from being approached like under the table or bed but will come out and roam when it is safe or he is hungry. He is sketchy with loud noises or moving around/above him because of trauma as a kitten. He’s fine with you petting him when it is feeding time though 🤷🏼♂️ Was an outdoor cat for nine years, but has been an indoor cat for four years now since I moved.
Problem is for 6 months now he’s been missing the cat box when urinating and is peeing all around the area of his box. He’s fine when pooping. Ruining the wood floors. Hate to let him go after 13 yrs but don’t know what else to do.
Maybe he’ll change in a new environment 🤷🏼♂️
