My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Piper is a Courtesy Listing and is not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for this pet. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian.
Piper is a great girl. She’s LOVES to cuddle and sleep in between your legs. She’s very anxious around new people men especially. She does great with our 2 other other dogs we have both a male and female. She does okay with cats we have an outside cat that she doesn’t really mess with however I’m not sure how she’d do with an inside cat. She does not do well with children at all which is why we need to rehome her. A meet and greet would be much appreciated to make sure she’s a good fit for you and your family.

Please come in and visit with our pets available for adoption. Once you find an animal you would like to adopt, you will be asked to fill out an adoption survey and meet with an adoption counselor. We do require landlord approval and we do not adopt out animals to live completely outside. Our adoption fees are $75 for dogs and cats under 5 years old and $55 for those 5 years and older.

More about this shelter

The shelter has very active volunteer and foster programs. Volunteers walk dogs and help with cat care. Fosters take young, shy and injured animals into their homes to prepare them for adoption. Learn more on our website and consider getting involved today!
