My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adopted!

Adoption Pending: We have a home in the works.

Donations Needed for Vet Care: This cocker boy is doing much better and might be available early April. He is a special needs cocker boy with a medical issue that can be controlled by medicine.

Meet Brody, he came to us as an owner surrender from a shelter because the people had too many dogs. He is a sable, neutered 7-year-old cocker boy weighing about 29 pounds. He is on recovery time from cataract eye surgery at the specialist until they release him, but he is getting close to being done. He is a friendly, happy guy, good with other dogs and current on vet care.

This nice cocker boy came to rescue with fleas, a tumor on his head, a juvenile cataract in one eye and the other eye had an advanced cataract. His tumor was removed, and he had a dental. The tumor was benign. While he has been with us, a medical condition came up and we learned from our vet that he has a pre-seizure disorder that can usually be controlled with medication. This diagnosis means that he is not having seizures but rather is hyperventilating. He is now on a low dose of Phenobarbital as a trial and has made a tremendous improvement. A new owner will need to follow through by continuing whatever meds work to keep this health issue under control. Brody is doing much better and might be available the end of March or early April.

Please donate to his care by sending in a donation to CCR, P.O. Box 1050, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or you can donate using PayPal by going to larrydonnacarp@aol.com. Any amount helps and will be appreciated. Please donate to his care. Thank you for your kindness.
