My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*REAR PARALYZED*
Sweet Pea came to us from Arkansas where her family had surrendered her as a young puppy saying the mom dog stepped on her. Based on x-rays Sweet Pea has a spinal deformity that our vet believes was a genetic issue and not one due to trauma. She is rear paralyzed, but loves her cart! She does not know when she needs or is going potty, but she is pottying on her own and does not need to be expressed. She does wear a diaper when she is not in her crate.

Sweet Pea was guessed to be born in April of 2022, so she is still just a puppy. She loves to play with the other dogs and do other puppy things- like chew on things. Sweet Pea's adoption donation of $250 helps cover the cost of her veterinary care and will include her special crate, wheelchair, and harness.

Application, reference checks, and home visit required. For more information on adopting, please email us at info@perfectpooches.org.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the Adoption Process tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested (age appropriate), fecal tested and/or dewormed, and microchipped.

More about this rescue

A rescue organization dedicated to helping you locate and adopt your "perfect" pooch.
No one, or nothing, is perfect....this includes dogs, but we firmly believe that there is a "perfect" dog for everyone. This doesn't mean our dogs will not have accidents in the house, or bark at times you don't want them to, or chew on your good shoes. They are dogs and they will require training and structure, but their flaws make them truly unique, beautiful, and "perfect" for the right family.

Perfect Pooches Adoption Agency (PPAA) is dedicated to working with each family to ensure we try to find a dog that will be a match with your lifestyle, needs, and wants. If we do not currently have a dog that is a match we will do our best to help approved adopters locate a dog that would be a better fit.

Our pooches are rescue dogs that deserve a second chance. Please consider opening your heart and home to a new companion today!
