My name is Luna Lou. I am a 6 year old Basenji and Hound Mix. I am full grown at 63 pounds. I am sweet, and an intelligent dog who loves to be my person's shadow. I am very responsive when I have my person that I can take leads from whether out on a walk, catching a frisbee or ball, or lounging around the house. I am a people pleaser and will look to my person in a calm, and attentive way. My favorite things I like to do are exercise and I do really well when I am given a physical outlet like a strong walk, playtime in the yard with a toy, or a nice hike. If you happen to work from home then I love being right near you keeping you company the whole day. I am house trained and crate trained. I am in need of a forever loving home as my person, a beloved teacher and friend, passed away and his students and friends are seeking a loving home for beautiful Luna Lou who is so deserving of finding another human to call my own.
We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. The Lovejoy Foundation, Inc. does not adopt beyond a 30 mile radius from our headquarters in Inglewood. Sometimes exceptions are made in a particular situation for an adopter further out than 30 miles which is at the discretion of the director.
