My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking to add a unique beanie baby to your collection? I'm Beanie, and here is what my catalog listing would say:

Meet Beanie! Beanie is a one-of-a-kind beautiful tan mix of Rottweiler and terrier who is five years old, and 55 pounds. Special features include cuddling on couches with her people, finding sunny spots for long naps, tossing toys in the air and catching them. She is a people-dog, all people of all ages are her friends, but she is not a dog's dog. Beanie has impeccable house manners, she does not beg for food, and is not destructive. Beanie loves the outdoors and is excited to explore them with a new family.

Beanie has fluency with foundational instructions: sit, stay, come, down. She has attended a board-and-train to work on her leash manners, and her fear reactivity to other dogs. Beanie has made great strides in her confidence and is a motivated learner. She is looking forward to continuing training with her own family and the rescue will be happy to provide recommendations on trainers in different areas of New England.

Beanie is spayed, up to date on vaccines. She is being fostered in Methuen, MA.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
