My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Mary Elizabeth. Yes, I do have a regal demeanor to match my regal name. I had a litter of kittens at a very young age. My foster mom told me everyday that I was a very good mom and auntie. I loved loving and caring for my little furballs.

I am quiet, sweet and calm. My photos show you my beautiful eyes and soulful attitude. I have a soft purr which makes it hard for a veterinarian to check my heart. I tolerate other cats but do prefer to watch their antics from the sidelines. Yes, I am more independent than social with other cats.

My favorite toy a small soft ball. I make chirping noises when I play with it but most of the time I just stalk it. I like to be high on a cat tree or on a comfortable high chair. I enjoy looking out the window and being stroked slowly on the top of my head. Gentle head massages are purrrfect for me. You will love stroking my soft furry head and body.

I'm OK with my fosters picking me up and being held . At this time being a lap kitty is just not my style. Maybe someday ???? I look forward to seeing my people and being with them. I greet them at the door when it is feeding time :-) I am not a high maintenance kitty and I have a special purrrsonality.

I have a weepy eye. Lots of kitties have a weepy eye. My foster mom gives me eye drops and tear duct flushing. My foster puts ointment in them everyday and that seems to have made a purrrrfect difference. I am spayed, up to date on vaccinations, defleaed and dewormed.

I am looking for a quiet household with a patient cat person. We can enjoy our quiet and calm space together as we live in comfortable harmony.

If you are looking for a calm companion and are ready for a commitment, the first step is to complete the Humane Association of the Lowcountry (HAL) Adoption Application located on the HAL website.

Nose kisses. I am waiting patiently for you to include me into your life and home.

Love and Licks,

Mary Elizabeth
