My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penelope, a 1year & 3month old domestic Torbie (Tortoiseshell/ Tabby) is fully vetted, UTD on all vaccines, & ready for adoption! Penelope is such a DIVA & she knows it. This girl came in as a stray surrender with a prolapse medical emergency. One year later, Penelope is healthy & ready to be adopted! Penelope likes to play with toys & be lazy. You can find her relaxing on her favorite cat tower or you can find her playing with toys. She can be somewhat of a loner unless she likes something about you, then she is all about the lovins. Penelope is one of those cats that has to have her own personal bubble space or she can be a feisty little mama. She may be small but her attitude is even bigger! Penelope would do great in a home with cats, dogs, & children. She is litter box trained & an indoor cat. If you think Penelope is the girl for you, just apply today! If you would be interested in giving me a furever home, please contact The Humane Society of Adams County, Inc. at (937) 544-8585 to set up a time to come meet me and fill out an adoption application!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is made up of two parts. Upon a decision to adopt an animal we require an application for adoption that asks questions such as housing and veterinary references. We then check references and may require a home visit. Upon approval you will fill out a contract for adoption and pay the adoption fees. Adoption fees are based on age and vetting required.
