Here's what the humans have to say about me:
For two months, Zai got to bask in the sunlight coming through the windows of his temporary home. He got to nap on the couch and get attention whenever he wanted. This loving, clean home environment instantly improved his overall health because Zai is diabetic. Unfortunately, Zai is now back at Abandoned Pet Rescue because his foster family is traveling for a long time. Zai's needs are simple... his insulin is checked morning and evening plus daily eye drops and a prescription diet (his food intake does need to be monitored). APR provides all his supplies and medical care for life. Zai is a gentle, affectionate 13-year-old cat that deserves to spend his golden years napping by a warm window and watching the birds fly by. If you can open your home and heart, temporarily or permanently, to Zai please complete an adoption application at AbandonedPetRescue.org or email us at info@abandonedpetrescue.orgTo meet this adoptable pet, please fill out an adoption application at www.abandonedpetrescue.org and a team member will contact you to schedule an appointment.

More about this shelter
Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.
APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
