My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ophelia is a sweetheart waiting for her forever family! 🐾

Despite a tough past and obviously being used for breeding, she's a gentle, sweet and easy going girl who is a pleasure to walk on leash.

Ophelia's foster mommy adores her, praising her loving nature and easy way. Estimated to be around 6 years old, she emanates a calm, mature vibe that's perfect for a cozy home. She makes a great lap or foot warmer too. Ophelia loves walks, playing and the company of her friend Zeus who she came into the shelter with. When she is excited, her tail spins in circles like a helicopter.

Though her past hints at hardship, Ophelia's big heart is eager to shower love to her forever family. If you're seeking a devoted companion, Ophelia promises unwavering devotion and friendship.

Take a peek at more adorable pictures of Ophelia! 📸 Contact Martina Animal Rescue to meet her or inquire about adoption. Don't miss the chance to bring this loving girl into your life. Wags and kisses await. 🐶❤️

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit rescue organization who helps rescue dogs and sometimes other animals from Contra Costa Animal Services as well as other local shelters; usually the scared, overlooked or often the ones off the euthanasia list. We also rescue dogs who have been injured or abandoned trying to keep them from having to go into the shelter after looking for an owner. We then place them in foster homes to decompress and learn to be part of a family as well as learn structure and boundaries. If needed and we can, we also have trainers that help prepare our dogs for adoption.
