Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Aspen is 4, 30lbs, 75% poodle/25% golden retriever. She came from a reputable breeder in WA who supports us rehoming her.
Aspen LOVES the outdoors and will do an 8 mi hike with elevation gain and is happy running 5-8 miles 3-4x a week. She will fetch as long as you will throw. She is very loyal to the person giving her exercise but is not very interested in cuddles, she just wants to play :). But, after consistent rigorous exercise we have noticed she seeks your attention much more and her behavior improves (if she’s bored she will get into trash/food on counter/tear up her kennel towel etc.)
Aspen is not food motivated but responds well to a hunting dog collar and she loves hiking off leash. She gets grouchy around kids. She plays pretty hard with other dogs so you have to watch her and in homes she can get aggressive/jealous. She needs to be the only child of the house! Our vet called her an athlete so if you are looking for an adventure buddy, Aspen would love to be your sidekick!
