Happy boy, Calamus is a handsome Husky born in June 2019. He weighs about 50 lbs and is a friendly boy. Cal is a gentleman who is great on a leash and loves to go for long walks. He has lots of energy and likes to run and play. He gets along with other dogs and enjoys a game of chase and friendly rough-housing with his pals. Cal is house trained and rides politely in the car. He is affectionate and would love to be your best friend.

Located in the Mission area, Cinderella Pet Rescue, as an all-volunteer organization, schedules appointments for people to meet the animals at the shelter or in a foster home. Additionally pets are taken twice monthly to pet store for adoption events. Dates and locations are posted on our website and Facebook page.

More about this rescue

Formed in 2008, Cinderella Pet Rescue was established to rescue animals from abuse, neglect and abandonment and to help prepare the for adoption. Additionally CPR promotes spay/neuter to reduce the serious homeless pet crisis in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. An all volunteer organization, there are normally between 55 and 65 dogs at our no-kill shelter as well as a couple dozen cats. Even more pets are placed in foster homes in preparation for adoption. Not funded by anyone, Cinderella Pet Rescue counts on donations and fundraisers to support the needs of the animals in care, from food to veterinary treatment. More volunteers and foster homes are always needed.
