My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

No late night bathroom breaks or chewed shoes for this mature lady! She spends her days sunbathing and sleeping like the angel she is. Past all those naughty puppy habits, Ella still LOVES walks and is very food-motivated. At meals she sings (a bit off key if you ask her foster mom) and prances around in excitement.

Despite weighing only 18 lbs, Ella isn’t a lap dog and prefers to sit next to you. In her 14 years, she’s seen a thing or two and is anxious in new settings, rightfully so. It’s a big world out there for a little lady!  Once she settles in, she shows her sweet side.

Ella currently lives with other dogs, but this is not a requirement of her new home. However, a calm dog may help her adjust more quickly. She does need a slow-paced household without lots of change or visitors. Daily walks for Ella are a must, as exploring helps her anxiety.

Ella is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She recently had a dental and her adoption fee is $200. Don’t miss out on this grey-muzzled gal!

All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
