Meet Rusty Martin. Rusty is a beautiful young senior born 2012. Rusty’s world was been turned upside down when his human passed away. Prior to that – he lived with his human in an assisted living apartment. Rusty enjoyed the quiet of the apartment and the pets of the attendants who came to care for his human. Rusty couldn’t stay with the family after his human passed away due to severe allergies, so the family reached out to Saving Hope.
Rusty loved to nap in his human’s lap during the day – and kept a close watch over him at night. Rusty would do best in a home as an only cat or with another calm, older cat who gives him his space. Rusty would do fine with a calm, older, gentle child. Rusty is still acclimating to life without his human, but does love to have his head scratched, especially behind his ears. He is calm and gentle and easy to care for. Senior cats often get overlooked as potential family members – but given time and patience Rusty will be an awesome addition to any family looking to save a senior. Rusty would be fur-ever grateful if you’d give this handsome low maintenance gentleman a chance. He’s vetted and litter box trained.
