Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Suntory:
Our one-eyed beauty, Suntory, was rescued earlier in the pandemic when our TNR team went out to get community kitties spayed and neutered. Our team quickly noted that Suntory had an eye issue that ultimately resulted in an eye enucleation to keep her healthy and comfortable.
When you first meet Suntory, you will immediately notice how aware she is of her surroundings. Rightfully so! She spent her life being extra vigilant of potential dangers in the outside world and limited vision. If you move in slowly and confidently, Suntory is the sweetest and chirpiest one-eyed kitty.
Living in the rescue can be a little much for some kitties so she’s moved into a foster home that has helped her blossom and allowed us to get to know more about what Suntory is looking for in a home. She loves to play but balances that energy out with naps. Treats and mealtime are the best part of her day and how you can quickly win her over. While she can be affectionate in her own space, Suntory is an independent lady who has her own schedule she likes to stick to.
Suntory has been an incredibly rewarding rescue story. She came to us as a super shy kitty that has slowly been revealing her quirkiness and fondness for affection. She loves to be pet, especially on her cheeks, and makes the cutest air biscuits! Major zoomies happen between midnight and early morning which of course is not surprising since kitties are nocturnal creatures.
Suntory’s journey has been a little rocky and therefore she can still get scared easily. She is the gentlest creature and as she’s gotten more comfortable in her foster home, she is more loving and relaxed. Suntory is looking for a patient adopter who can understand that good things take time.
