My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Snickers & just like the candy bar, I'm very sweet & a bit nutty. That's what my foster mom says anyway. I really love to be pet & quickly will offer up my soft belly for a rub. I don't fancy being picked up & carried around but can't get enough attention next to you. I am so playful, especially with the other cats in my foster home. We play chase & roughhouse with each other so I'll need a playful nice cat or two in my forever home. When we're done playing I will snooze on a soft bed or up on the cat tower where I can see what's going on. I absolutely am a fool for crunchy cat treats & you can get my attention with them every time. I like other cats, dogs and kids, too! Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
