My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CAT SEEKING CAT. Do you have a cat that needs a bff/soulmate? If so, then Bits is just the cat for you. He has been in foster care for almost a year and would love to have a forever home of his own. Bits loves other cats and his ideal day would be spent snuggled up in a comfy bed with a friend or two. He is comfortable around all cats and is dog savvy but can be very shy around people. He likes to sit around his foster family- but not too close. He never lets anyone forget dinner time and he is always game for playing with wand toys or lasers. He will occasionally accept some cheek scratches and will take treats from your hand but where he really shines is being a great companion to other kitties.
As a kitten Bits had an eye injury that has since healed and does not bother him and is only cosmetic now.

Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
