We can't believe Rudy is still looking for his forever home. Yes, Rudy does come with a bit of work. You know the saying ‘Give an inch, they take a mile'? Well Rudy is that kind of dog. He is looking for guidance and help to be the mature well behaved dog he knows he can be.
A home with no little kids would be best. Rudy can be good with other dogs but is kind of a brute.

We also have adoptable cats at PetSmart stores in Delavan and Sun Prairie. Our volunteers and animals can be found throughout the community at local events.

Lakeland Animal Shelter is centrally located three miles south of Elkhorn, WI. on highway 67, and it is the only animal shelter in Walworth County. Its doors are open to the public six days a week except on legal holidays. The shelter is staffed by dedicated and trained employees. Volunteers also play a crucial role in meeting many of the shelter's special care needs.

Provide temporary care for stray, abandoned and unwanted animals.
Own and operate a rescue vehicle to pick up stray pets from municipal holding areas and private citizens.
Respond to injured animal emergencies 24 hours a day.
Employ a humane Officer to investigate cruelty and abuse complaints.
Maintain records on lost and found pets
Have available humane live traps for animals requiring capture.
Seek good homes for pet adoptions.
Provide a resource library.
