Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This gorgeous 3-year-old cat was surrendered to with his sister Molly. They were not bonded and spent their shelter life apart: Molly is more outgoing and Turtle stays on the outskirts. Molly has sense been adopted, while Turtle waits for his fur-ever home.
Turtle was very reluctant to leave his kennel and when he finally took the plunge he scouted out hiding places for security. We patiently waited for him to surface and then suddenly one day we discovered him relaxing and curled up in a cat tree. He didn't bolt when approached and he actually welcomed some pets and chin rubs; our hopes soared.
To our surprise when waving the wand toy about, a playful Turtle came dashing over to join in on the game. He was leaping in the air, batting the toy, and truly having some fun. He continues to be skittish and needs a calm and quiet environment to really come out of his shell (excuse the pun). We feel with time, love, and understanding he'll learn to appreciate the joy of having humans that care for him. Are you the person who can make that happen?
