My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Caesar is long awaiting his forever home. At the age of 8 Caesar has been bounced between boarding facilities, foster homes, shelters - in some cases being housed outside.

Caesar is a love bug and is very spry for an 8 year old boy. His ideal home would be one with a yard and with adults or children over 12 years old. This boy has lived with another male dog and did great, but he can be 'dog selective' - a slow intro would be needed.

Give this older boy a chance and he will not let you down.

More about this rescue

Road to Home was started to be able to focus on animals in need and to provide support to local rescues. After years of working in shelters and with rescues, we decided starting our own rescue was the best way to do what we do best! We are a 100 percent non-profit and 100 percent of the money we raise goes towards animals in need. Our 5013c is pending. Here’s what we will focus on:

-Providing guidance and support for re-homing an animal.
-Providing medical attention, training, spay/neuter, and food/supplies to a homeless animal.
-Pulling an animal from a euthanasia list or from an unsafe situation and placing them in a foster or permanent home.
-Working with rescues and shelters to facilitate adoptions by doing home checks, adoption applications, and networking to find foster or permanent homes for animals in need.
-Working with rescues and shelters to coordinate adoption events, food drives, and fundraisers.
-Raising money through a Chip-In to help specific dogs with training, medical needs, and adoption.
-Raising funds that can be allocated to specific needs of other rescues and shelters (including medical expenses, training expenses, food, and transport) as well as pledging money to animals in jeopardy of euthanasia.
