Graham von Granzin is a beautiful 3 year-old Shepherd mix. Graham is a friendly, engaging and athletic boy who loves everyone he meets. He could be a dream partner for someone looking for an interactive and playful dog who also has an "off" switch. Graham has done well around people and dogs at the rescue and on the monthly hike, meeting hikers and other Ds well. (We don't recommend him for small children, small dogs or cats, tho.) An active pup, he's excited to get out for walks and adventures, has good focus on his handler and is great on leash. And, did we mention, this boy really really loves balls and toys! In doggy playgroups, Graham is friendly and social & can be playful. With his people he's truly a love bug. In fact, he prefers people to treats -- how many other dogs can say the same? While he's not opposed to cookies, he'd much prefer a belly rub. Graham is ready and waiting to enjoy life with his own special someone, so if you need a sweet graham cracker in your life, this boy belongs with you!
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN Graham von Granzin YOU MUST FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE: www.sheprescue.org
Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.

In order to adopt any dog from Westside German Shepherd Rescue, one must fill out an adoption application first. Upon receipt of your application, a Westside adoption counselor will contact you.We do aerial home checks and you may be asked to supply pictures as well as arranging for a home visit prior to adoption.
Adoption fees vary with each dog and typically range from $150 to $500. They are set, taking into account the dog's age, training level, temperament, if they’re newly arrived, medical condition(s) (if any) and other factors. Adoption fees are used not only to rescue and place the dog you are personally adopting, but to aid in the future rescue and rehabilitation of other deserving dogs. Adoption fees are necessary; without fees, our rescue efforts would quickly come to an end. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, and up-to-date vaccinations.
