My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Josie is a silly, feisty, small-sized bundle of fun. She LOVES playing with toys and running around after the other cats/kittens. She especially loves rolling around in the cat tunnel and playing with her little stuffed animals. She carries them around, tosses them around, and likes to bathe them in her water dish.

Josie is a shy girl but enjoys getting pet on her head and behind the ears. She can be picked up and handled but is not a fan of being held for long periods of time. She has suffered a right eye trauma as a kitten, and the issue is managed with eye drops. She has expressive eyes that will melt your heart.

Josie needs a quiet/calm household as she is skittish of people and loud noises. She loves to play and would do well with other cats/kittens. She would love another cat to chase around, but a home with small children is not recommended as it might make her nervous.

Josie was born around the end of February 2022 and is currently being fostered in New Haven.

She is fixed, has had her rabies and first distemper shots, is microchipped and tested neg for FIV/FeLV* All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.

Application for adoption can be found at https://www.fosterandforever.org/

Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24 - 48 hrs.

We are a foster based rescue. All our cats reside in private homes. A meet-and-greet can be arranged for approved adopters only.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is for you to fill out an adoption application which can be found on our website, www.fosterandforever.org. If all is well on your application, we will contact you about setting up a home visit by one of our staff members.

****Please give your vet permission to release information to us as we check references.

The adoption fee for our cats covers the cost of spaying/neutering, age appropriate routine vaccinations, deworming, snap test, and flea preventive treatment. Some of our older cats are at a reduced price in order to encourage placement in a permanent home.

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Foster and Forever Pet Rescue!

More about this rescue

Foster and Forever Pet Rescue Inc, is a registered 501 (c) (3) non-profit rescue that was founded in 2011. We have been working since then to improve the lives of abandoned, abused and homeless animals by serving as an umbrella under which foster homes will provide care for homeless animals until loving permanent homes can be found.

We provide spay/neuter services, all necessary medical care, as well as food and supplies and more and find foster homes to care for the animals we rescue until we are able to find them forever homes.
