Shirley is a sweet budgie with an interactive personality. She enjoys spending time outside of her cage once or twice a day, stretching her wings and exploring. While not fully hand-tame, she is starting to step-up with more regularity. Inside her cage, she likes gazing out the window and watching budgie videos, using a variety of perches with different textures. Her favorite toys are cupcake paper shredders. As a treat, she is also learning to enjoy vegetables. Shirley is a social bird and enjoys the company of her bestie, Maria! Because she has a history of egg-laying, she cannot be housed with males. If you have room in your flock for a pair of friendly budgies, then apply to adopt Shirley and her bestie, Maria today! Adoption fee for both birds: $30

For most species, a meeting is required. For some species, multiple meetings may be needed or required.

Sign Adoption Contract

Once approved, sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Whether interested in adopting a particular bird or not, you will need to fill out an Adoption Application, which can be found on our website. From there, our adoption team will process your application (including background check, veterinarian check for all current animals, and a home visit)
We will not ship any of our adoptable birds, and have a 100-mile adoption radius. We do not adopt to breeders. We are not able to adopt birds into homes that use Teflon product or smoke due to toxicity dangers.
