My name is Pesto!

This is Pesto, and a she’s a very brave little bird. Pesto came to us when police contacted the rescue for help as the owner had passed away in the home, leaving a bird behind. We have almost no background on this little cutie, but Pesto’s leg band and behavior indicate she is very young. Pesto is scared of hands, but with every day that passes, she comes out of her shell (and cage) a little more, especially when the room is empty. With work and patience, Pesto could be a hand-tame bird; we think she is just not used to being handled. Pesto has also shown interest in calling out to other birds in her foster home, so we feel she would be a great addition to an existing flock. Due to the sound level of conures, it is not recommended to adopt into an apartment.
