Hi I'm Ripley! I am a mini panther nicknamed "Meatloaf". I was transferred to the SPCA of Texas from another rescue facility so I could get the medical treatment I needed to make me healthy and happy. I'm very shy at first but once we get acquainted I'm the funniest, energetic boy you'll ever meet!
My foster said they loved how affectionate I was, especially when I rested my face on them. I love cuddles, petting and sitting in windows enjoying the fresh air from inside my home. I am super playful with toys, I especially love ones that jingle and light up. I'm social, gentle and an all-around sweetheart to everyone. In my foster home, I learned that dogs are too much for me.
Kids might be great but I have never been around them. I would do better in a home with children over 12 but you are welcome to bring the whole family in to see if we are a good match.
I have a medical condition called FIV. I can go into a home with another resident cat as long as it is vaccinated. I will also need to be on a prescription diet to help me keep me happy and healthy for the rest of my life. Feel free to talk with an adoptions specialist for more information on what FIV is and my medical needs.

To adopt a pet from the SPCA of Texas, we not only help make love connections, but we then walk you through an adoption process that is geared to ensuring you and the pet are a great match. There is a contract to sign at the end of the process. Adoption fees are as follows:
Puppies 0-6 months: $150
Adult dogs 6 months or older: $75

The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations (which can include Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Parainfluenza and Bordetella), spay/neuter surgery, deworming treatment, initial heartworm preventative, a rabies tag, Free health examination within fourteen days of the adoption thanks to our partnership with VCA Animal Hospitals, a leash and a microchip. Dogs over 6 months of age are also given a heartworm test (SNAP occult). Free week of training through Good Pup.
Kittens: $150
Cats: $75
