Little Lady Lila Belle is a textbook black and tan dachshund, just a gorgeous girl and sweet as a bug.
Look at this face! Those big puppy dog eyes! Sweet Lila is a tiny little angel. Like many delicate Southern ladies, Lila is shy at first but after 30 seconds she is your best friend.
She loves to cuddle with her humans and her favorite place to sit is in your lap. Lila is a true dachshund. She snoops around in the yard after the squirrels that she will never catch and then promptly heads inside to relax in the window sun.
Everyone that meets Lila goes on and on about how CUTE she is- with a spunky personality to match. Tail ALWAYS wagging, Lila is a happy little girl. She eats her meals with lightning speed and goes out immediately afterwards to do her business before bounding back inside to see her humans.
Lila learned to use the doggie door on her first day in her foster home and loves to go out and explore on her own. She is great on a leash and keeps up on walks- even the long ones. Lila enjoys playing chase with all dogs, is kind and patient with toddlers and loves to snuggle the human infant in her foster home.
Lila has many years of love to give her new family. If you'd like to get stopped on the street for strangers to marvel at your adorable, sweet dog-- LILA Belle is the one for you!

Lila Belle's adoption fee is $300. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Lila Belle will go to his / her new home microchipped, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, up to date on vaccinations, and with all other medical needs addressed.
Almost every dog's veterinary expenses exceed our adoption fees.
DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group. We focus on the metro Atlanta area and can assist throughout the state of Georgia. Since our rescue is entirely run and staffed by volunteers, our ability to travel long distances for adoptions is somewhat limited. We focus on Georgia, but if you are in a neighboring state, we might be able to work something out - we'll expect you to do your part. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
