My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

CHESTNUT is a soft cuddly boy and a full breed Cocker Spaniel. He was rescued from a puppy mill as he was used as a stud dog. He’s now neutered, UTD on vaccines and has a microchip. He’s now ready to find his adoptive family and live happily ever after.

He seems to love all the adults he’s met so far. He’s great with cats and with female dogs but not good with the males he has met so far. He’s never lived with children and doesn’t seem comfortable around them so a child free home is recommended for this boy.
He’s crate trained and sleeps through the night and if he’s put in it during the day then he will sometimes protest but will soon settle down in there. He’s housetrained and will let you know when he has to go outside go the bathroom.

He enjoys car rides and eagerly jumps in there when he knows he’s going on one. He good on his leash and loves to go on big walks. He also loved to run around the back yard so a fenced property will be best suited to him.
