Meet Buddy!
Buddy is a wonderful young man! He is great with laid - back dogs, older children, house trained, and crate trained. He currently lives in a foster home with 2 other dogs and a cat BUT he does chase cat! 🙄
Buddy has very nice manners, listens well, loves his walks, loves his people, and wants to be a lap dog! He also wants to be a snuggle bug with you on the couch but is content if you don’t let him up there 😂
If you are looking for a new best friend, please fill out our online adoption application at k9newlife.org
*All of our foster dogs are in individual foster homes so appointments for meet and greets are required!

Our goal is to find loving, lifelong homes for our dogs.
We require an adoption application, a home inspection, and $250 adoption donation. This helps pay for medical care, dog food, and supplies.
To ensure we find the best homes for dogs in our care, our adoption process involves several steps. Adopting a dog requires a commitment of love and responsibility for the welfare of the animal, just as you would have for a human member of your family. Please consider the challenges that come with owning a dog as these challenges are often the reason many pets end up in shelters.
2. Once your application has been reviewed, we will contact you.
3. A home check is done to ensure the dog will live in a suitable environment.
4. A meet and greet will be arranged for the adopter and the dog(s) of interest.
5. An adoption contract must be completed to finalize the adoption process.
Prior to adoption, all of our dogs receive a general veterinary checkup, vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test (treatment, if necessary), heart worm/flea/tick prevention, and spay/neuter.

More about this rescue
K-9 New Life is an all breed, no-kill dog rescue organization located in southeast Virginia. We are registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
The mission of K-9 New Life is to take in dogs from shelters when they have run out of time or are injured or too sick for the shelters to handle. We provide them with health care, rehabilitation, training, and a loving foster home until they can be adopted. Our focus is to give these less fortunate dogs a second chance to live the life they deserve.
