This beauty was kept on a chain for three years, used only to breed and raise her puppies until they were sold off. When the male dog died, the "breeder" took her to the local kill shelter--they were through with her. Well we believe her life has just begun! Sadie is a sweet, lovely girl who wants nothing more than a family to call her own. She is in foster with many other dogs--some she likes, and others she doesn't. She also doesn't like when they come near her while she's eating, but with a sharp "NO!" that nonsense stops. She also would not be good with small animals like rabbits or cats. She needs patience and time, but it's probably best she's the only dog to be on the safe side. According to her foster, "Whoever gets this dog will need to be dog savvy. She is so dang smart!! She will buffalo you if you don't make sure you are the alpha! I don't want her to seem like she is mean, she isn't! She's just so smart." Sadie loves to take rides in the car. She is house broken and great with all the people in the house, including the kids. She would like nothing better than to have someone she could love and lay by their feet in the evenings. All she needs is the love she deserves. Sadie is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped, and heart worm negative. Experience and knowledge of the breed is helpful.
