My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Now here is a fun, young dog with a lot of bounce and vigor. She is loving and loyal to her family. Erin is extremely intelligent and learns very fast. She thrives on praise and positive feedback and gets so proud when she masters a new behavior that not just her face but her whole body lights up. She is very agile and strong and has mad jumping and climbing skills which are great fun for tricks and obstacle courses but not so much when she can scale a fence; 5 foot is needed.

Erin has eyebrow markings that make her look perpetually worried but this is misleading and she is generally very focused or being playful when she looks like that. Fortunately she also has that big, happy smile you can't miss!

There was a time when Erin did not want to laze around with you too much she has really grown to love snuggling and being on your lap and has actually been a great comfort to her foster mom during illness.

Erin likes soft toys and is very playful. Good chews are a must.

She is initially nervous about new people but just needs a slow, gentle introduction to become your new best friend.

Erin has been on leash walks and done okay though she needs to continue to practice to get more confident about seeing and hearing new things, dogs, and people on her walks.

Erin is housetrained, uses a dog door, and has been crate trained while in foster care.

Erin would enjoy a family that will regularly be active with her and play with her daily or has a doggie friend to play with. She could potentially become a good trail and camping partner with some training as she is quite good off leash on hikes. Her coat is surprisingly thick, and she enjoys being outside in all kinds of weather.

She will not be comfortable at a dog park.

Erin could be anywhere from 8 months to around a year old per mid-March and she looks like she has a bit of heeler (aka Australian cattle dog) in her and she may (or may not) have some rat terrier, and probably a number of other breeds. She is full grown. She was about 25 lbs when spayed in late January.

Unknown about cats; she sometimes reacts when she sees them but not too much anymore.
