My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wally is more of the outgoing spunky one. He loves to sit near his foster mom and more recently he's been just flopping over right next to her with his paws on her lap. Or he'll just be right on top of her lap where he rolls over on his back. He loves his belly scratched. There are many different times throughout the day when he seeks her out to just lay with her.

Wally absolutely loves to be held. He kind of just hangs off your shoulder and usually purrs. He is very playful and has a lot of kitten energy. Wally has kind of always been one step ahead of Oliver in comfortability with new people so he's like the leader of the pack, and has always been protective of his brother Oliver.

Neither Wally or his brother are afraid of water, instead, they wait for their foster mom to turn on the faucet in the tub so they can watch the water drip and try to catch it. With his brother, Wally has a lot of the same favorite toys like a wand, the little tower with balls in each track, they love having a big cat tree, and their absolute favorite are pom pom balls. They LOVE churu creamy treats, or the tiki cat ones.

Wally and Oliver have been together their whole lives and we plan to keep them together by placing them in a forever home as a pair.

CCR adopts to forever homes in Chicago or the very near suburbs that are within 10 miles of our Chicago foster families. We love our cats and we pledge support for the rest of their lives, which is why our location limits are in place. We appreciate your understanding. If you are outside of these limits, please check petfinder.com, which allows searching by zip code, for cats closer to your home.

At Chicago Cat Rescue, we are dedicated to both the physical and emotional well-being of the cats and kittens in our care. For this reason, unless expressly stated, we do not place cats or kittens in homes where they will be the only cat. Generally, cats love the company of other cats, and can become quite lonely when living alone.

Kittens will only be placed in pairs, or to join another kitten or young cat in your home.

Chicago Cat Rescue is an entirely foster-based organization. Our ability to help more cats in need is dependent on our availability of foster homes. If you think you could provide a loving foster situation for a cat in need, or would like to learn more about our foster program, please email us, info@chicagocatrescue.org. Thank you!
