Howie and Chanel are a beautiful, bonded pair of black beauties just waiting for you. They have been hanging out in foster care just waiting for the perfect family to find them. They are young, playful and loving! Does their foster mom mind having them? Not one bit! Does she need to foster other babies who need her help! You bet she does!!! Help Howie and Chanel get to their new homes! Double the trouble - double the cuddles - why not?
Howie and Chanel are under a year old, fully vaccinated and fixed and test negative for FIV/FELV. Howie is diagnosed with a seizure disorder and has not had any more seizures since starting medication!!!! Howie takes his meds with no drama, and they are inexpensive. Additional adoption info

All potential adopters over 21 years of age must first fill out an application for adoption. It takes at least 7-10 business days for application to be processed. Vet checks are done as well as references, and home checks.
Our Cat adoption fees are:
$215for Kittens (6wks-6Months)
$170 for Adults (7Months - 7yrs)
$95 for Senior/Special Needs

Our Dog adoption fees are:
$395 for Puppies (8wks-15Months)
$295 for Adults (16Months-10yrs)
$125 for Senior/Special Needs

All donations may be dropped off in the Front Lobby Daily between the hours of 9am-5pm.

We believe it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless cats and dogs, and to place them in loving permanent homes.

We provide spay and neuter services and any and all necessary medical care for pets.

We work diligently to educate the public on the importance of pet sterilization, responsible pet ownership, Disease control, as well as the Humane Treatment of Animals.

The Meriden Humane Society is a Private, No Kill, non Profit Animal Shelter and Rescue Facility.We are not affiliated with any other Humane Society or rescue organization. We do NOT receive any funding the state, but in fact are funded by the generous people who believe that "Life Matters".
