My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This special girl is called Joni and she is a 2-3 year old Chihuahua girl that weighs 11 pounds and looking for a dream home. This girl who has been a momma with babies before, was found with what we believe to be one of her puppies, a son named Chachi, who is white and a year old now. This girl was found abandoned in a very remote rural area that was nothing but countryside farm land. The owners of the farm told us that they both showed up and had been there looking for food and shelter for over a week. Our rescue foster mom couldn’t stand to see them left outside in the cold and with no place to be safely sheltered. They would not come to her and so she humanely trapped them and took them home. The rest will be history for both of these Chihuahuas. Momma Joni is a sweet and confident girl who still takes her protective mothering responsibilities seriously. She is still mothering and overseeing her son Chachi. She is housebroken pretty well and crate trained and she does get along with the other small dogs in the foster home…and the cat too! We have promised Momma Joni that she will never be thrown out and abandoned ever again. She is ready for a new and loving owner to sweep her away on a little magic carpet to live happily ever after. Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website.
