My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Freya is a gorgeous, dilute tortie and white girl who is about 4 years old. Adopted from HART as a kitten, she was returned to us last year because she was urinating outside of the litterbox. Our Medical Team believes this was due to a medical condition that was causing chronic irritation in her bladder. Since placing her on a medication that helps with both bladder issues and stress, and feeding her a primarily wet-food diet, we have not seen this behavior from her here at the shelter.

Freya looks for attention from visitors and enjoys being petted. She also likes to play, and especially enjoys wand toys and spring toys. She'll carry toys in her mouth and play with them as well. It must be noted that she can be a little sneaky about chewing plastic, feathers, string, and other things she should not eat, so her future family should have a fully cat-proofed house and a watchful eye! Freya will do best in a calm home with experienced cat guardians who will help her acclimate to her new environment. We will require that her adopter has an established vet relationship to ensure her health can be monitored. Our Adoption Team will review her specific needs with you prior to adoption.
