Wahn is a cute, 3-year-old, black and white tuxedo-clad lady, with a striking white stripe on the right side of her face, a white chest, and white paws. She made her way to HART in early 2023 after being found as a stray. Wahn was extremely shy when she first arrived, and avoided people as well as the cats in her room. She has warmed up to shelter life considerably and now shares more of her purrsonality. When Room 3 is quiet, she plays with toys by herself. While she may not go up to you and ask for attention, she does actually enjoy a bit of quality time with people. If you approach her quietly and pet her gently, she just may lean into your hand and close her eyes with delight! Sudden movements and noise still startle her. We don’t know her history, but during her intake exam, we discovered BB-sized pellets embedded in her left shoulder (these do not cause her discomfort, and we have chosen to not have them removed), so she may have used up at least one of her 9 lives and probably has stories to tell. Wahn was adopted this past Spring, but unfortunately she did not get along with the resident cats and dog, so she was returned to us. Based on both this experience and her consistent dislike of hanging out with her feline roommates at the shelter, we feel that this pretty girl would do best in a quiet home without other animals, and with a patient adopter who will help her to blossom into a confident and content kitty at her own pace.
