Max is a 4 yr. old, male Husky - Pomeranian mix, aka a Pomsky. Max weighs 35 lbs. Max carries a lot of husky traits, one of which, he is an escape artist! Max is energetic, active, strong, and playful. He loves toys and going for walks. He can be dog reactive, particularly large breed dogs; we have been working on this, he is getting better. Max thinks cats are for chasing, not uncommon for a husky! Max would be OK for a family dog, but only older kids, teens and up, no children under 10 years old. Max is fine in the car as long as he is restrained by doggie seatbelt, or crate, otherwise he is jumping from seat to seat! Max would love to have a securely fenced yard, with a fence 5 feet or taller, to run and round and play, but a fenced yard is not a requirement. Max has the energy of a puppy, so be ready to take multiple walks, runs each day. A well exercised dog is a good dog! Additional adoption info

Adoption Fees $300-500 dependent on age. We require an application to be filled out, followed by a home check, reference check, vet check. All pets in the applicant home must be up to date on their shots, on a Heartworm and Flea/Tick preventative and spayed/neutered.

Our rescue are all up to date on their shots, on Heartgard and Frontline Plus (or equivalent) and are fixed. They come with a new leash & collar and our micro-chipped to the rescue.

More about this rescue

Chicagoland Eskie Rescue, a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization was started in January 2008. We specialize in the rescue and re-homing of the American Eskimo Dog. This came about because of the love of the breed. We feel that we know this breed as well as we can. The Founder of Chicagoland Eskie Rescue has been in rescue for 15 years specializing in this breed.

All of our rescues are fostered in private homes.
