My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Amani (aka Mr. Man) — the five-year-old life of the party who’s equal parts goofy, affectionate, and bursting with personality. He’s been waiting far too long for his perfect match, and we’re determined to help him finally find the home he deserves.

Amani is a dog who brings energy, joy, and laughter everywhere he goes. He loves people, loves being touched, and absolutely melts for belly rubs and attention. He’s sweet, social, and happiest when he’s part of the action.

Smart, Trained, and Full of Heart
Amani has completed extensive professional training and is both e-collar and pinch-collar trained. He knows a long list of commands, including:
• sit
• down
• place
• wait
• leave it

He thrives on routine, structure, and consistency. He’s curious, clever, and sometimes pushes boundaries, so he will do best with a confident, experienced handler who can maintain the structure he’s used to.

Lifestyle & Home Needs
Amani is high energy, playful, and loves to be part of whatever you’re doing. He enjoys sleeping in bed, soaking up affection, and being right by his people. He also has separation anxiety and requires a special kennel when left unattended (which we provide).

Amani must be the only pet in the home. He needs a fully secure, private yard where he cannot see other dogs, as well as an adopter who can continue reinforcing his training and routine.

Amani Is:
• Loving and extremely people-friendly
• Great with handling and touch
• Goofy, sweet, and full of personality
• Professionally trained
• Crate trained (with a specialized crate provided)
• High energy and thrives with structure
• Best suited as the only pet in an experienced home
• Supported by his current foster, who is sponsoring a lifetime supply of squeaky toys—his favorites

Amani is not a “starter dog,” but he is an incredible dog for the right person. He’s affectionate, charismatic, and deeply loyal. If you appreciate a smart, loving dog with a big personality and want a companion who will fill your home with joy, Amani might just be the one you’ve been waiting for.

More about this rescue

We started out fighting for our baby boy, Lucci, who was killed due to Airport Animal Emergi-Center Clinic's breed prejudice. When he was killed, we make a promise that no bully would be left behind. Now we try to save as many bullies as we can!
